Meet the PPS Publications team...

Paul Hogan

Paul Hogan - Managing Director

Interests: Family comes first with Paul – two adult sons, one baby daughter – a sister for Brontë (12) who died after a five year battle with leukaemia in March 2011. Long before this Paul had become a fanatical marathon runner, raising well in excess of $200,000 for children's cancer charities. He's still chasing an elusive sub-3.30 marathon time (his personal best is 3.37). If you want to be bored to tears ask him how his training is going.

Stacey Edwards

Stacey Edwards - Financial Director

Stacey, a Cancerian, is devoted to her family for whom she bakes a great deal of cakes - so many that she has even started making them for airports which want to win anna.aero Cake Of The Week prizes. In the last few years Stacey has also become addicted to running, often up to twice a day. She had even started lying to her friends, telling them she is going home to watch TV and eat sweets, when really she is going out to run 10km.

Dan Coleman

Daniel Coleman - Company Director & Future Travel Experience Founder

Daniel has now been with PPS for over 14 years. He grew up with the aim of being a fighter pilot, but after spending two years successfully passing aptitude and medical tests whilst studying, he was told his legs were two inches too long to safely eject from any of the RAF's jets. His enthusiasm for aviation led him to work for PPS where he has developed, and delivered, publications and events on behalf of a range of industry associations including AOA, ACI-NA and ACI EUROPE, but his proudest career achievement was the creation of the Future Travel Experience business unit, which through its range of events and online media, aims to create dialogue and knowledge sharing between stakeholders worldwide, that will help improve the passenger experience.

Kerry Parks

Kerry Parks - Key Account Manager

Kerry has now been with PPS for nearly 15 years. Having seen many changes in this time there has always been a new challenge or project for Kerry to use her extreme organisational and, to the point of OCD, efficiency skills in – if you want something done yesterday, see Kerry! With a love of diversity Kerry works closely with Paul on anything and everything that needs doing, especially relating to anna.aero. Kerry also holds a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo.

Jon Lassetter

Jon Lassetter - Business Development Manager, anna.aero & The Route Shop

Jon has been with PPS for over 15 years now and has enjoyed much success developing magazines in both Europe and North America. He is now using his talents to quickly grow our online products. Before joining PPS he spent years working his way up in the bar sector where he became a talented cocktail flair performer. He became so good that he spent time training TGI Fridays bartenders across the UK to throw bottles behind their heads and make every cocktail under the sun! He has great interest in cars, food & drink, and bad Hollywood movies for which his mind holds a wealth of related useless trivia.

Julian Bidlake

Julian Bidlake - Commercial Manager, ACI EUROPE Airport Business

Julian has worked in the publishing industry for over 35 years. The majority of this time has been spent with Reed Business Information and American technology media company Ziff-Davis, and more recently with IHS and Ultima Media. Outside of work Julian is a keen sportsman and has represented Ireland at squash, he also has two adult sons and a 12-year-old daughter.

Ian Hill

Ian Hill - Publisher, TFWA

Ian has worked across many industries but found his true calling in publishing Dailies for the travel retail sector. He is remarkably well read and knowledgeable about the classics - he read English at St Peter's College Oxford and has travelled the world. He is very good at tennis and has a house full of cats, dogs and grown up children.

James Howson

James Howson - Publisher & Exhibition Manager, Head of the British-Irish Airports EXPO

James has worked for PPS Publications for over eight years, having managed exhibitions for both ACI EUROPE and the Airports Operators Association (AOA). He has also published a number of special edition reports for the likes of Heathrow, Gatwick, Dubai, Amsterdam and Delhi International airports as well as ACI EUROPE's Communiqué Airport Business Magazine.

He is head of our British-Irish Airports EXPO, which launched for the first time in June of 2016. From a standing start the British-Irish Airports EXPO instantly established itself as the industry’s biggest meeting place. Resulting in 148 exhibiting companies and 1,488 verified unique visitors over the two days from across Ireland, the UK, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. In addition to the biggest Expo of its kind in the region, the British-Irish Airports EXPO facilitates a leading conference, BHX airport tours and evening networking opportunities. James’ knowledge of the airport sector and companies that work with them are key components that deliver a successful and fruitful events for all involved.

Corrie heads up the commercial activities across FTE’s international events and media portfolio. Passionate about travel, design and technology, Corrie previously helped to build Mobile World Congress into one of the world’s most successful industry trade shows, and also has extensive experience delivering consumer electronics shows.

James Howson

Claire Wingate, Business Development Manager, Future Travel Experience

Claire is a PPS “boomerang” who spent the early part of her career with us before leaving to explore other work opportunities in Contract Publishing, Wrought Ironmongery and Healthcare. She took time out to have children and complete a house conversion before deciding to return after 16 years, having realised that there simply is no better place to work in the world! Having worked on the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) magazine previously, she missed the world of aviation and is now excited to join the FTE revolution, see what the industry has to offer, and forge meaningful new relationships with industry suppliers.

Catherine Noakes

Catherine Noakes - Head of Events & Association Business

With over 12 years event experience from the sales, operations, conference and management perspective Catherine has a wide knowledge of events, and has a real passion for finding those key ingredients that create a successful one. Each event brings its own unique challenges, and Catherine loves the demands and excitement of heading up the PPS event portfolio of international conferences and exhibitions which ensure she is always kept busy. With a love of travel (just as well really), Catherine is always ready to embrace the social aspects of the job and has a voice that can allegedly be heard from space!

Andrea Bevan

Andrea Ahearn - ACI EUROPE Events Manager

Andrea lives the closest to the PPS offices (under a mile) yet she still drives in every day. Before joining PPS she worked for Swarovski, and no doubt assumed that the world of publishing and events would be just as glamorous, but she soon found otherwise. Despite working in aviation she is absolutely terrified of flying, although she is slowly improving! In her spare time she enjoys shopping, eating, drinking and Bruce Willis films.

Ali Loving

Ali Loving - Events Manager

After graduating from the University of Leeds in 2010, Ali surprised herself whilst backpacking through South America by hiking the Inca Trail to Macchu Pichu, delving down a Bolivian mine and mountain biking down the 'World's Most Dangerous Road'. After falling in love with travelling, organising conferences for PPS is the perfect fit, allowing her to discover new places and at the end of a busy event day – sit down for a gin and tonic.

Rebecca Quinlan

Rebecca Quinlan – Events Executive

Rebecca discovered her love for organising and travel after planning a 5-month backpacking trip around South East Asia, snorkelling with whale sharks and trying new foods. It wasn’t until she moved to Dubai for an internship opportunity, organising an interior design exhibition, that she realised how much she enjoyed the buzz of events. PPS was the perfect fit as she enjoys visiting new countries and celebrating with a glass of wine after a successful event.

Sophie Andrews

Sophie Andrews - Exhibition Operations Manager

Since graduating from university and finding out that she could make a career from her favourite pastime - organising, Sophie has worked in the events industry. Sophie has experience running all types of events from gala dinners, conferences and corporate annuals. She has worked for the internationally renowned venues Earls Court and Olympia and was part of the team that managed all Team GB's fundraising events for the 2012 Olympics. Out of work the organising carries on, even the spreadsheets, but with a social emphasis and a big glass of wine in hand!

Natalie England

Natalie England - Exhibition Operations Manager

Natalie has worked in the events industry since graduating from university. Starting off in the hospitality sector, Natalie began her career organising the Publican Awards, Restaurateur Restaurant of the Year Awards and other events focusing on her passion of good food and drink. Natalie’s desire for travelling got the better of her and she moved into the Pharmaceutical industry organising conferences and exhibitions around the globe. Natalie now enjoys her role at PPS in the aviation industry, getting to continue her love of travel.

Editorial

Ross Falconer

Ross Falconer - Managing Editor

Ross followed-up his passion for writing by completing a journalism degree. This led him to PPS, where he has worked on various titles relating to airports, airlines and travel retail, progressing to his current position of Managing Editor. A keen armchair sports fan, Ross supports Liverpool FC. Despite having never been to Liverpool, this does not make him a glory-seeker.

Ryan Ghee

Ryan Ghee, Editor & Event Strategy Manager, Future Travel Experience

As Editor and Event Strategy Manager of Future Travel Experience, Ryan is charged with managing and producing the editorial content for FutureTravelExperience.com and contributing to the strategic direction of the FTE Global, FTE Europe and FTE Asia events. A holder of a BA (Hons) in Multi-Media Journalism, he has previously been editor of ACI Asia-Pacific Airports magazine and has held the position of Assistant Editor on PPS Publications' vast portfolio of other titles.

Marc Watkins

Marc Watkins – Editor, anna.aero

Returning for his second stretch at PPS, having worked on setting-up the ERA Regional Report magazine, he left nearly 15 years ago to work in Business Development at Birmingham Airport. Coming back to the world of aviation journalism via two years in his home-town airport of Coventry, self-confessed plane spotter Watkins has gotten fatter, balder and has spawned three children since he last teamed up with PPS.

Ralph Anker

Ralph Anker – Chief Analyst, anna.aero

Ralph was formerly Head of Business Development at Maersk Air and Head of Network Planning for Go Fly from where he moved to easyJet after its acquisition. Many people are surprised to learn that Ralph has any interests outside of work as he lives and breathes aviation, but in fact he is also very keen on architecture and cars and is succeeding very well at introducing his son to these passions.

Jonathan Ford

Marta Dimitrova – Assistant Editor

For Marta, all the world’s a stage. From a young age, she always wanted to be an actress, before discovering a passion for creative writing and journalism. In 2012, her newly developed interest in writing put her on a plane from her beloved home city of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and took her all the way to the British seaside town of Bournemouth to study Communication and Media. In her attempts to combine both of her passions – theatre and writing – Marta wrote a theatre script for her undergraduate dissertation. Her love of travel eventually brought her to PPS to learn everything about the world of publishing. Like any good journalist, you can always find Marta in the pub – she will be wearing one of her trademark bobble hats, and regaling anyone who’ll listen with tales about the beautiful Bulgarian mountains and how yogurt was invented in her home country.

Jonathan Ford

Jonathan Ford – Assistant Editor, anna.aero

Originally a BA (Hons) graduate in Human Geography, Jonathan wanted to make his passion for travel a reality, and undertaking an MSc in Air Transport Management from Coventry University has allowed him to make this passion a full-time career. As Assistant Editor for anna.aero, Jonathan is in charge of the editorial side of the website, as well as anna.aero's famous conference daily magazines around the world, allowing him to discover new places. Apart from travelling, with New Zealand being his favourite destination so far, Jonathan enjoys following his beloved West Ham.

Richard Jende

Richard Jende - Head Designer

Richard joined PPS over 10 years ago and works on all things design within the company. Originally a designer working primarily in print, he has now embraced the digital age and loves experimenting with design in new media such as video and web animation. When his nose isn't to the grindstone, he likes nothing more than to deafen his neighbours with his drum kit and hit some trails on his mountain bike.

Samita Brant

Samita Brant - Graphic Designer

For Sam, creating imaginative and captivating designs is not only her career, but also her hobby, and studying a degree in Graphic Design at Kingston University was just the start of a lifelong passion for making things look beautiful. When not immersed in Photoshop or creating stunning pages for print publications across a diverse portfolio, Sam is engrossed in her painting, with taking photographs, cooking her family's Mauritian recipes – secrets that she will never divulge – and dancing till the lights come up.

Keith Bateup

Damian Perring - Web Development Manager

Damian has worked in the digital industry for over 16 years since graduating with a first class honours degree in Computer Science. He started his career in Germany working as a software engineer and has moved through the ranks to be become a Web Development Manager. However, you will still find him getting his hands dirty when it comes to coding. He also enjoys a keen painter who specialises in acrylics. He also likes going camping and you will often find him cycling around Surrey.

James Bishop

James Bishop - Marketing Manager

James joined the PPS team to drive our digital marketing projects, including building our online marketing partnerships for our global events as well as managing our social media channels. Originally from a small Sussex town, James packed his bags and endured three years studying in central Birmingham. He's since spent time in the marketing team at BMW and at a scientific device manufacturer retailing to neuroscientists, discovering that the practice is always more interesting than the theory. James is a hazard prone cyclist and enjoys sport socially.

Matthew Bagley - Web Developer

A born and bred South African, after graduating with a diploma in Digital media, Matt kicked his career off as a front-end web developer and designer for a start up agency followed by a role in a transport publishing company. With a great interest in digital media he worked freelance on a variety of projects from video editing and print media to web design for local musicians. He also has a passion for cultivating a healthy lifestyle and exploring religion and culture.

Stacey Kendry-Foster, Accounts Assistant

Stacey is a family person through and through, with two adorable children keeping life constantly interesting. When she can escape the children, Stacey loves socialising with friends and family, or can be found at the gym making it all look easy. Having worked progressed up the ladder while working for the Local Authority for 9 years, London-born Stacey has now moved to the Surrey country side and helps keep our books straight and our bank manager happy.
